Matt has a million CDs that I want to display on 2 short walls in our dining room, but I can't figure out how to do it affordably! Heres an example of how I want it to be:
i think i saw this on remodelista. cool! what if you routed out a piece of plywood and glued aluminum plates in. or maybe if its tight enough you could get away without glue? that reminds me of this brick mockup shelf our brick manufacturer has for stacking up bricks. similar priportions.. let me see if i can find a photo
yeah i thought about the rakks option but i thought it would look funny because we have the larger rakks on the opposite wall and i thought it would look like mini-me. i like the plywood and aluminum plate idea, one challenge is that he actually has a TON of cds and these shelves look pretty good when they're more sparse. so it definitely has to be functional....

another though,
you could use short rakks brackets and stack thin shelves directly above and below the bracket? does that make any sense at all?
